UNDERSTANDING THE 'QUICK':
The 'quick' in dog and cat nails is a sensitive area containing nerves and blood vessels. It's more visible in light-colored nails than in dark ones. Be cautious and trim only a few millimeters at a time to avoid cutting into the quick, which can cause pain and bleeding. If you do cut the quick, apply an antiseptic clotting agent. If bleeding persists or you are concerned, consult your vet.

- Acclimate your pet to having their paws touched by playing games or gently patting their paws. This makes them more comfortable during nail grooming.
- The frequency of nail trimming depends on your pet's lifestyle. Pets that frequently walk on hard surfaces like concrete may need less frequent trims. Regular walks are beneficial in naturally wearing down their nails.
